The Buccaneer S2 was the British low-level strike variant of Blackburn's carrier-borne Buccaneer family, built by Blackburn Aircraft and later Hawker Siddeley Aviation. It paired twin Rolls-Royce Spey turbofans with two-seat crew accommodation, long-range maritime strike performance, and RAF service that included BL755 carriage in 1973.
RAF Historical Society material identifies Buccaneer S2 aircraft as one of the RAF platforms entering service with BL755 in 1973.
