SRAD is a medium-range S-band surveillance radar under development by the Sensors Division at Pakistan's National Aerospace Science and Technology Park. NASTP describes the radar as an AESA and digital-beamforming system designed for surveillance and surface-to-air missile acquisition roles.
NASTP presents SRAD as part of its Sensors Division portfolio rather than as a documented conflict-use system. The division's public profile places SRAD inside a wider Pakistan Air Force-led effort to localize radar and sensor work across HF, L, S, and X bands, including radar upgrades, IFF modules, and active and passive surveillance sensors.
SRAD is described by NASTP as under development, with a proof-of-concept design for surveillance and surface-to-air missile acquisition roles.
No direct source was found for operational conflict use or serial production.
NASTP says its Sensor Division was established in September 2021 to support radar and sensor indigenization work.
