Serna-class landing craft (Project 11770)

The Serna-class landing craft, Russian Project 11770, is an air-cavity fast landing craft built for the Russian Navy to move vehicles, cargo, and assault troops directly onto an unimproved shore. Vostochnaya Verf built the class in Russia, and open sources describe a 30-knot craft that can carry one tank, two BTRs, or 92 troops.

Conflict Usage

Russian Project 11770 Serna-class landing craft were used around Snake Island and occupied Crimea for landing, resupply, and movement of equipment. Ukrainian Bayraktar TB2 drones struck a Serna-class craft near Snake Island in May 2022, and Ukrainian naval drones later attacked Serna/Ondatra-type landing craft at Vuzka Bay in occupied Crimea in November 2023.
