Project 775 Ropucha-class landing ship

The Project 775 Ropucha-class landing ship is a Polish-built Soviet-era tank landing ship designed to beach troops, vehicles, and cargo directly ashore. The class entered service in 1977, was produced by Stocznia Polnocna in Gdansk, and includes 25 Project 775 ships plus three Project 775M ships.

Conflict Usage

Russian Project 775 Ropucha-class landing ships have been used as part of Russia's Black Sea amphibious and logistics force in the Russo-Ukrainian War, including the pre-invasion amphibious buildup and movements of troops and military hardware. Multiple ships of the class were later destroyed or damaged by Ukrainian strikes, including Minsk, Novocherkassk, Olenegorsky Gornyak, and Tsezar Kunikov.
