Direct proof of use
The M1150 Assault Breacher Vehicle was documented in Ukrainian service during the 2014 Russia-Ukraine War after a November 3, 2023 presidential event for Ukraine's missile, artillery, and engineering troops. The official event page describes Ukrainian engineering troops clearing paths through enemy obstacles, while the accompanying image set and later reporting identified a U.S.-made M1150 at the ceremony.
The Kyiv Independent reported on November 4, 2023 that an M1150 had been spotted in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, crediting the imagery to President Volodymyr Zelensky's Telegram. The War Zone identified the same vehicle as an Abrams-derived mine-clearing system and wrote that the public delivery path was not clear because M1150s were not named as a line item in the Pentagon's public Ukraine aid list.

Avdiivka-sector losses
Reporting in February 2024 placed a Ukrainian M1150 with the 47th Mechanized Brigade near Stepove, northwest of Avdiivka. Army Recognition said Russian soldiers from the 21st Brigade targeted the U.S.-supplied vehicle there and noted that the degree of damage was unclear, including whether the strike destroyed the vehicle or hit it after an earlier immobilization.
A second Army Recognition report on April 25, 2024 said images circulating on Russian social media showed Russian troops evacuating and capturing an M1150 from the Berdychi area. The report connected that vehicle to the 47th Mechanized Brigade loss at the end of February and stated that neither armed force had confirmed the capture at publication.

Conflict role
In Ukrainian service, the M1150's documented role was armored breaching and route opening rather than tank-style direct fire. The vehicle combines an M1-series hull with line-charge launchers, lane marking, and a mine plow or dozer blade, making it relevant to Ukraine's need to breach Russian obstacle belts and minefields.
Public sources support possession and battlefield loss of at least one M1150 in Ukraine, but they do not establish the exact number delivered. The public record also leaves the specific U.S. aid mechanism unclear, with The War Zone treating it as likely covered by broader mine-clearing equipment assistance rather than a named M1150 transfer line.
