Direct proof of transfer
The Iveco VM 90T appears in the 2014 Russia-Ukraine War record through German military assistance to Ukraine rather than through a publicly documented, vehicle-specific combat incident. The German federal government's Ukraine support list recorded delivered border-protection vehicles among protective and special equipment, and a Bundestag answer on 14 December 2022 identified those border-protection vehicles as demilitarized used Iveco VM90 Torpedo 4x4, Iveco ACL 90, and Renault TRM 2000 4x4 vehicles.
The sources therefore support transfer and fielding context for Ukraine. They do not, by themselves, identify a particular Ukrainian unit, date of first front-line use, or a specific VM 90T combat loss.

Timeline
On 14 December 2022, Germany answered a parliamentary question about the vehicle types behind the border-protection vehicle category listed as military support to Ukraine. The answer named demilitarized used Iveco VM90 Torpedo 4x4 vehicles alongside Iveco ACL 90 and Renault TRM 2000 4x4 vehicles.
By the archived 17 April 2025 update of the German support list, Germany reported 290 delivered border-protection vehicles. The list did not break that total down by VM90, ACL 90, or TRM 2000 quantities.

Role in Ukrainian support
The VM90 Torpedo vehicles named in the German answer were demilitarized used 4x4 vehicles, so the supported role is mobility, border-protection, and logistical support rather than a weapon-mounted combat role. In catalog terms, the VM 90T row belongs with Ukrainian mobility and foreign-aid equipment for the war.
Because the official support list groups several vehicle models under one border-protection category, this record treats the VM 90T as one confirmed type within that category. It does not assign the full delivered total of border-protection vehicles to the VM 90T alone.
