Direct proof of use
PAC-2 GEM/T appears in the 2014 Yemen Civil War through Saudi-led coalition Patriot missile-defense operations against Houthi ballistic missile attacks. CSIS's Missile Defense Project describes the Royal Saudi Air Defense Forces as deploying six Patriot battalions and states that the bulk of Saudi Patriot interceptors were PAC-2 GEM/T rounds, the principal missile type used in Yemen through that period.
The same CSIS report says Saudi and Emirati Patriot batteries were largely responsible for more than 162 reported ballistic-missile intercepts since 2015. A separate CSIS Patriot system profile says Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates employed Patriot systems in the Yemeni Civil War and that the Saudi-led coalition engaged Houthi missiles on up to 177 occasions from the first reported intercepts in June 2015.

Timeline
Saudi-led coalition Patriot use began early in the intervention. On 6 June 2015, coalition reporting said the Royal Saudi Air Defense Forces intercepted a Scud fired from Yemen toward Khamis Mushait with a Patriot missile. CSIS treats the same incident as the first known shot of the Yemen missile war and notes another coalition Patriot intercept of a Scud reportedly targeting an electrical station in Jizan in late August 2015.
As Houthi missile attacks expanded, Saudi Patriot defenses were used against longer-range missiles reaching deeper into Saudi Arabia. CSIS lists repeated Riyadh-area ballistic-missile attacks from 2017 to 2018, including Burkan-series missiles, and says Saudi Patriot air defenses intercepted two Burkan-2H missiles on 24 June 2018 in an incident the United Nations verified.

Narrative
In the Yemen theater, PAC-2 GEM/T functioned as a defensive Patriot interceptor for Saudi-led coalition air and missile defense rather than as an offensive strike weapon. RTX describes GEM-T as a Patriot variant intended to defeat tactical ballistic missiles, cruise missiles, and aircraft, and that target set matches the Houthi missile threat described by CSIS.
The public record is strongest at the battery and interceptor-family level. CSIS directly identifies PAC-2 GEM/T as the bulk Saudi Patriot interceptor type, while many day-by-day incident reports identify only Patriot systems or Patriot missiles. That supports a conservative claim that RSADF PAC-2 GEM/T rounds were fielded and used as the main Saudi Patriot missile type in the conflict, without assigning a specific GEM/T round to every reported intercept.
The conflict also exposed limits and risks for Patriot defenses. CSIS notes sparse information on individual engagements and discusses the November 2017 Riyadh airport attack, where Saudi Patriots fired at least four interceptors but outside analysis indicated the interceptors most likely engaged the separated booster rather than the warhead. CSIS also reports Houthi drone attempts to attack Patriot radars and batteries, showing that coalition air-defense assets themselves became targets.
