INS Himgiri (F34) is a GRSE-built Project 17A stealth guided-missile frigate commissioned into the Indian Navy on 26 August 2025. The 6,670-tonne ship is 149 metres long, uses CODOG propulsion, and combines Barak-8 air-defence missiles, BrahMos strike missiles, aviation facilities, and anti-submarine capabilities in a Nilgiri-class combatant built for the Eastern Fleet.
Official commissioning and delivery coverage documents Himgiri with air-defence and strike missiles as part of its Project 17A combat fit.
