Direct proof of use
The Italian Air Force documented AM-X aircraft in Kuwait as part of Italy's national Operation Prima Parthica and the multinational Operation Inherent Resolve campaign against Daesh. Its 18 March 2019 account identified AM-X aircraft alongside KC-767 and Predator assets under the Italian command arrangement in Kuwait, and described the AM-X and Predator contribution as intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance support for coalition situation awareness.
A separate Italian Air Force report from 23 February 2018 described Italian AM-X aircraft assigned to Task Force Air Kuwait and Task Group Black Cats from the 51st Wing. It tied the aircraft to Prima Parthica and Inherent Resolve, and said the Black Cats' RecceLite-equipped AM-X aircraft produced imagery and ISR products for the coalition.

Timeline
Italy's Kuwait-based air task force framework was established on 17 October 2014 for Prima Parthica and Inherent Resolve, and the Italian Air Force later listed AM-X among the air assets coordinated through that structure.
By 23 February 2018, the AM-X detachment in Kuwait had reached 4,000 flight hours in theater. The Italian Air Force report framed the aircraft's role as reconnaissance and ISR support, with imagery processed by the Integrated Italian Multisensor Exploitation Cell and other processing, exploitation, and dissemination units.
By March 2019, Italian AM-X aircraft in Kuwait had reached 6,000 flight hours. The Italian Air Force described the milestone as an operational contribution to the anti-Daesh campaign and again connected the aircraft to ISR and coalition analysis products.

Operational role
The sourced record supports an ISR and targeting-support role rather than a documented strike role for the AM-X in this conflict. Italian reporting emphasized the aircraft's RecceLite reconnaissance system, high-resolution imagery collection, and delivery of analyzed products to the coalition.
The aircraft were operated by Italy on the anti-ISIS coalition side. Their documented use was based from Kuwait and connected to coalition activity against Daesh in the broader Iraq-Syria campaign, but the available official AM-X reports do not identify individual targets, strike events, or a specific weapons release by AM-X aircraft in this conflict.
