Acoustic Doppler Current Profiler (ADCP) is a hydroacoustic current-measurement instrument that profiles water velocity through the water column. Commercial ADCP lines from Teledyne RD Instruments and Nortek are used in hydrographic survey and oceanographic work, including vessel-fit installations such as the Haixun 08 suite.
