TRT Haber reported on February 12, 2018, that domestically produced MPT-76 rifles were among the important weapons used by Turkish troops assigned to Operation Olive Branch in Afrin. The same report said the rifles were produced at MKE's Kirikkale weapons factory and described a shipment of 4,500 additional MPT-76 rifles for delivery to the Land Forces Command.

The direct conflict-use claim is therefore limited to Turkish fielding of the MPT-76 during the Afrin operation. The available source does not identify individual firefights, units below the Turkish troop level, or quantities already carried inside Afrin.
