The Glock 19 is a compact Austrian 9 mm striker-fired pistol built around Glock's polymer-frame Safe Action design. In this archive it is included because open-source conflict documentation ties the G19 to both Islamic State-captured small arms in northwestern Iraq and partner-force pistol training or use during Operation Inherent Resolve.
A DVIDS Operation Inherent Resolve image shows a Syrian Democratic Forces member firing a Glock 19 near Deir ez-Zor, Syria, on December 2, 2018, documenting partner-force sidearm use during continuing anti-ISIS operations.
Conflict Armament Research documented an Austrian Glock G19 9 x 19 mm semiautomatic pistol among small arms captured from Islamic State forces north of Bara in the Sinjar Mountains on August 4, 2014.
