A March 2026 Ukrainian News report gave the clearest incident-level account: the 190th Training Center of Ukraine's Unmanned Systems Forces remotely shot down a Shahed using the F-Drones LITAVR system, with the pilot operating from a considerable distance from the launch site. Defender Media separately reported manufacturer statements that the F7 LITAVR configuration was already used on the battlefield and had intercepted Shahed, Geran, and Gerbera drones.

Public sourcing places LITAVR's development after Russia's expanded drone-strike campaign had made low-cost air-defense interception a central Ukrainian requirement. On 24 March 2026, Ukrainian News reported the remote Shahed shootdown by the 190th Training Center. In May 2026, Army Media-linked reports by LB.ua and Ukrainska Pravda described and showed Litavr operations, including a mission by a Unmanned Systems Forces unit that reached 84 kilometers from its takeoff point and struck the target.

Operational role

In Ukrainian service, LITAVR fills a short-range air-defense and force-protection role rather than a general reconnaissance role. The reported target set includes Shahed and Geran one-way attack drones, Gerbera decoys, and other Russian UAVs. Ukrainian News also attributed a broader weekly target list to analyst Oleksiy Kopytko, but the strongest conflict-use evidence is for counter-Shahed and related drone interceptions.

The system's published features match that role: high speed, day and thermal cameras, non-GPS navigation, radar-linked pilot support through F-Drones' LARAG software, a nose warhead, and an automatic terminal guidance mode described as Last Mile or Pixel Lock. Ukrainian sources describe pilots controlling the approach while the terminal system assists target acquisition or final guidance, and they note that an armed aircraft can be safed and recovered if no target is found.

Remote control became part of the public LITAVR profile in 2026.
