The DJI Matrice 300 RTK is documented in Ukrainian service during the 2014 Russia-Ukraine War through Army of Drones procurement and delivery records. Reuters Connect carried a NurPhoto caption for 2 August 2022 describing the presentation of 30 DJI Matrice 300 RTK drones purchased for the Armed Forces of Ukraine under the Army of Drones project.
UNITED24 reported on 1 March 2023 that Ukrainian World Congress-linked donations bought 30 DJI Matrice 300 RTK sets and that the drones had been sent to Ukrainian defenders in front-line regions including Donetsk, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Zaporizhzhia, Kherson, and northern border areas.

Narrative
The Matrice 300 RTK entered the war as an enterprise quadcopter rather than a purpose-built weapon. DJI's product support pages describe a multi-payload airframe with up to 55 minutes of listed flight time, RTK positioning, IP45 protection, and compatibility with Zenmuse H20-series sensor payloads, making the system suitable for observation and sensor-carrying tasks when adapted by military users.
The documented Ukrainian role was front-line UAV support. Ukrainian World Congress described the Army of Drones as a way to give defenders aerial reconnaissance, continuous front-line monitoring, and support for responses to attacks. NPR's 2023 reporting on DJI drones in Ukraine identified Matrice 300 aircraft being tested in the Kyiv region on 2 August 2022 as reconnaissance drones under the Army of Drones program, while broader analysis from Belfer Center authors described Ukrainian commercial aerial drones as tools for reconnaissance, artillery guidance, and small munition delivery across the war.
The sources used for this page support Ukrainian transfer, fielding, reconnaissance, and front-line support of the Matrice 300 RTK. They do not identify a specific Matrice 300 RTK strike incident, payload modification, unit, or battle damage assessment in the 2014 Russia-Ukraine War.
