D'Estienne d'Orves-class aviso

The D'Estienne d'Orves-class aviso, also called the A69 type, is a French Navy coastal anti-submarine warfare and escort ship class built by Arsenal de Lorient. The class is notable for its diesel-powered 80-meter hull, 100 mm main gun, Exocet anti-ship missiles, torpedo armament, and later French reclassification as offshore patrol vessels.

D’Estienne d’Orves-class avisos are publicly documented in Operation Atalanta counter-piracy actions, including Premier-Maître L’Her's January 2009 response to pirate attacks, and in earlier French operations off Lebanon.
