The 120 mm HE M62P8 is a Yugoslav-origin high-explosive mortar shell for 120 mm mortars, documented by Yugoimport with 606 mm overall length, 12.6 kg mass, TNT fill, and a UTU/M93P1 superquick-delay fuze. In Libya, a UN Panel of Experts report listed Krušik 120 mm M62P8 mortar bombs as an ammunition-transfer violation for Hafter-affiliated forces during the 2014 Second Libyan Civil War.

Firing Weapons

Yugoimport catalogs the M62P8 as 120 mm mortar ammunition and gives current ballistic data for smooth-bore 120 mm mortars; an older Yugoimport sheet specifically names the 120 mm Mortar M75 for the same 1,500 mm-barrel firing lane.

The older Yugoimport M62P8 datasheet gives ballistic data for the shell when using the 120 mm Mortar M75, while the current sheet generalizes the same class to smooth-bore 120 mm mortar launchers.

Yugoimport describes it as infantry close-support artillery for high-angle fire, smoke, illumination, and difficult terrain, while Serbian sources and later defense reporting show the legacy weapon being paired with modern fire-control equipment. Direct records place M75 mortars in JNA fire support around Dubrovnik in 1991 and in Armenian/Artsakh losses during the 2020 Nagorno-Karabakh war.
Mortar bombs, 120mm, Heavy mortar ammunition, MunitionsMunitionsMortar bombs, 120mmHeavy mortar ammunition120 mm mortar bombs are fin-stabilized heavy mortar projectiles for compatible 120 mm mortar launchers, covering high-explosive, smoke, illumination, training, extended-range, and guided families. Published examples vary sharply by manufacturer and launcher qualification: conventional HE rounds commonly list 13-16 kg class masses, product-specific explosive fillings, point-detonating or proximity fuzes, and range limits tied to barrel length, pressure limits, smoothbore qualification, or turreted-system requirements. In the Boko Haram insurgency, Nigerian Army reporting documented recovered 120 mm mortar bombs as insurgent materiel rather than confirmed firing use.
