Direct proof of use
The Mohajer-6 is directly documented in the 2023 Sudan War through imagery and satellite reporting. Africa Defense Forum reported that experts identified images of a wrecked UAV posted by the Rapid Support Forces in late January 2024 as an Iranian-made Mohajer-6 combat drone.
The same report said Planet Labs satellite imagery from early January showed Mohajer-6 drones and a ground-control vehicle on the runway at Wadi Sayyidna air base north of Khartoum. Al Jazeera's 2026 drone tracker likewise described the SAF's drone inventory as centered on Iranian systems including Mohajer-6.

Operational role
The documented side is the Sudanese Armed Forces. In Sudan reporting, Mohajer-6 appears as an armed reconnaissance and precision-strike UAV, used in the SAF's campaign against the RSF after Iranian cargo and diplomatic contacts increased in late 2023 and early 2024.
Public reporting supports SAF possession and operational use, but not every SAF drone strike can be assigned to Mohajer-6. OHCHR, AP and local reporting often attribute strike effects to drones without naming the model, so this page keeps the Mohajer-6 claim tied to the Wadi Sayyidna imagery and identified wreckage.
