Icom IC-V82 is a discontinued Japanese handheld VHF amateur transceiver in the 2-meter class. Icom said it was produced and exported from 2004 to October 2014, and the model was later cited in 2024 reporting on the Lebanon device attacks.
Amnesty International said the 18 September 2024 wave involved IC-V82 handheld radios and that the detonated devices were consistent with radios containing hidden explosive devices.
