Projectile Family

The reduced-charge STV cartridge uses an HE-462 projectile that STV describes as equivalent to the Soviet OF-462 projectile.

STV identifies the cartridge projectile as HE-462 and states that it is equivalent to OF-462, making the OF-462 family the closest cataloged projectile reference.

Charge And Compatibility Notes

STV's D-30 and 2S1 ammunition family separates the same Nb 122 HE / HE-462 projectile line into full- and reduced-charge cartridges. The reduced-charge cartridge uses a Ž 10 propelling charge and is published with lower velocity and shorter range than the Ž 9-1 full-charge version.
