United Launch Alliance links this catalog's space-launch support records to the company that integrates and operates Atlas V, the retired Delta IV family, and the newer Vulcan rocket family. ULA's work is most relevant where military, intelligence, weather, navigation, and civil payloads require orbital launch services rather than battlefield weapon employment.
The company began operations in December 2006 after regulatory approval of a 50-50 Boeing and Lockheed Martin joint venture. ULA says its program-management, engineering, test, and mission-support functions are headquartered in Denver, while manufacturing, assembly, and integration are centered at Decatur, Alabama, and launch operations are conducted from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station and Vandenberg Space Force Base.
