UAT-TISA is a Ukrainian light armored tactical pickup developed by UKR ARMO TECH on a reinforced Toyota Land Cruiser LC79 chassis. Ukraine's Ministry of Defence codified it for Defence Forces use in November 2024, and 2025-2026 reporting documents deliveries to Ukrainian units, a rotating machine-gun mount option, STANAG Level 1-class protection, and a later operational-pyrotechnic variant for explosive-hazard response.

Protection and Mission Fit

UAT-TISA is positioned below heavier MRAP-class vehicles: it trades large troop capacity for compact protected mobility, a small crew compartment, and a pickup layout suited to patrol, cargo, reconnaissance, and quick-response missions.

Protected cabin

Sources describe a four-person armored cabin, including two crew members, with small-arms protection and anti-fragment lining around the capsule.

Mine protection

Ukraine's MoD reported protection against explosive devices under the wheels and undercarriage; later reporting gives the Level 1 configuration as protection against a 3 kg TNT-equivalent mine threat.

Armament option

The armored capsule can accept a turret-mounted machine gun, and delivery reporting described a rotating machine-gun mount with a protective screen.

Variants

Open sources identify UAT-TISA as the base light armored pickup, with later mission-specific configurations based on the same LC79-derived platform.

Base Chassis

UAT-TISA is a named Ukrainian armored conversion built around the Toyota Land Cruiser 79 / LC79 pickup platform rather than an unrelated clean-sheet chassis.

Place In The UAT Vehicle Line

UKR ARMO TECH presented UAT-TISA alongside the heavier UAT.GYURZA-02 family. Defense Express describes GYURZA-02 as the troop-carrier/MRAP side of the line and UAT-TISA as the lightweight armored pickup for rapid mobility, mobile groups, and tactical deployments.
