Direct proof of use
Ukrainska Pravda documented KVERTUS AD CERBERUS in the 2014 Russia-Ukraine War as a mobile electronic-warfare device for vehicles. Its August 2025 front-line EW feature identified Cerberus by name in a section on vehicle and trench electronic-warfare systems, captioning it as a Kvertus mobile EW device for vehicles and describing Ukrainian front-line demand for modular systems whose frequency modules can be changed or replaced.
The article placed the system inside Ukraine's counter-FPV problem set: Russian radio-controlled FPV drones remained widespread, while Ukrainian units needed vehicle and position protection that could be adapted as drone-control and video-link frequencies changed.

Timeline
Kvertus described the vehicle-installation concept publicly in September 2024, explaining that light vehicles were frequent FPV-drone targets and that Cerberus used generator blocks so users could combine frequency bands for a vehicle installation.
On August 8, 2025, Ukrainska Pravda published its front-line EW feature and identified Cerberus as a Kvertus mobile EW device for vehicles in the wartime drone-EW contest.

Narrative
CERBERUS appears in the war as a Ukrainian vehicle-mounted counter-UAV electronic-warfare system rather than as an offensive weapon. Kvertus presents the system as an elongated car-mounted installation built from generator units, with selectable bands across the drone-control and video-link spectrum, magnetic external antennas, vehicle or mains/generator power, and cable remote control.
The conflict-use reporting emphasizes mobility and modularity. Ukrainska Pravda reported that vehicle-protection EW systems could be roof-mounted add-ons or more integrated vehicle installations, and that military users preferred modular systems for vehicles and trenches because individual frequency modules can be changed as threats evolve or replaced after damage.
The public evidence supports Ukrainian front-line use of Cerberus for counter-drone electronic protection, but it does not identify a specific unit, quantity fielded, or named engagement involving the system.
