Direct proof of use
Fire Point FP-2 use in the 2014 Russia-Ukraine War is documented through Ukrainian official statements, Ukrainian media reporting, and published strike footage. Ukrainska Pravda reported on 10 October 2025 that Security Service of Ukraine Special Operations Centre Alpha operators used FP-2 drones with 105 kg warheads against Russian equipment and personnel concentration areas in temporarily occupied territory.
On 4 November 2025, Defence Intelligence of Ukraine said its operatives directed an FP-2 UAV with a 105 kg warhead against a Russian Rubikon drone-unit command post in occupied Avdiivka, Donetsk region. UNITED24 Media later reported that Ukrainian units had used FP-2 in several confirmed 2025 strikes and that the system filled a short-range precision-attack role near forward positions.

Dated use in 2025 and 2026
The first cataloged FP-2 combat reports cluster in late 2025. The October SBU report described strikes on Russian equipment and personnel areas in occupied territory, while the November DIU report identified a specific target: a Rubikon command post in Avdiivka. Both reports described FP-2 as carrying a 105 kg warhead.
By May 2026, FP-2 use had expanded to a rocket-armed strike profile. UNITED24 Media reported footage released by Ukraine's 1st Separate Unmanned Systems Center showing FP-2 drones fitted with aviation-rocket rails attacking a protected Russian Black Sea Fleet communications node near Myrne in occupied Crimea. The same report said the footage showed attacks on antenna towers, radio equipment, and surrounding infrastructure.

Operational role
In Ukrainian service, FP-2 appears as a frontline and occupied-territory strike UAV rather than the deeper-range FP-1 profile. Ukrainska Pravda described the FP-2 as a 200 km-range, 105 kg-warhead drone that can engage fixed targets autonomously and moving targets under operator radio control. UNITED24 Media reported that Ukrainian officers used FP-2 for missions where short flight distance, payload weight, and rapid deployment mattered near forward areas.
The documented target set includes Russian troop and equipment concentrations, a drone-unit command post, fortified positions, ammunition storage points, mobile logistics, and Black Sea Fleet communications infrastructure. The May 2026 Crimea footage also shows a hybrid attack pattern in which FP-2 launched unguided rockets before its primary one-way strike.
