Timeline
On 28 May 2022, a Ukrainian Ministry of Defence image published through Commons showed Ukrainian artillerymen using a French-supplied CAESAR during the full-scale war.
France later listed 30 CAESAR guns among the French military equipment delivered to Ukraine through 31 December 2023. Denmark separately donated all 19 of its CAESAR 8x8 artillery systems, trained Ukrainian artillerymen, drivers, and mechanics in early 2023, and reported the first systems leaving Denmark for Ukraine on 20 April 2023.

Narrative
In Ukrainian service, CAESAR filled a mobile 155 mm artillery role rather than a static gun-line role. Ukrainian official material framed the system around rapid occupation of a firing position, delivery of fire, and withdrawal before Russian counter-battery assets could respond.
The Danish transfer added 8x8 CAESAR systems to the French-supplied 6x6 fleet. Danish instructors trained Ukrainian crews in compressed courses at Oksbol, including field practice in which multiple CAESAR guns moved from concealed waiting positions into firing positions, fired, and withdrew.
