Direct proof of use
The Badger ILAV is documented in the 2014 Yemen Civil War through limited open-source vehicle evidence rather than through a detailed combat incident record. Oryx listed the Badger ILAV among Yemen's pre-war armored vehicles in a September 2015 handbook, and a November 2017 open-source post identified a Badger ILAV in Sana'a with Houthi vehicles.
The supported conflict-use claim is therefore narrow: at least one Badger ILAV was fielded or present with Houthi-aligned forces in Sana'a during the war. The available sources do not establish a large fleet, a specific tactical engagement, or confirmed weapons employment from the vehicle.

Narrative
The Badger ILAV is a Cougar-derived mine-resistant armored personnel carrier, and its documented Yemen role is best described as protected mobility. Procurement reporting and manufacturer background tie the type to a small Yemen order, while conflict-period open-source material places the vehicle type inside Yemen's armored-vehicle pool.
The 2017 Sana'a observation is the most direct source for Houthi-aligned use. It shows the type in a Houthi-controlled urban setting, but does not by itself show how the vehicle was employed beyond presence and protected mobility. For that reason, the catalog row assigns mobility and force-protection roles rather than offensive, fire-support, or anti-armor roles.
