ALHEDA is a UAE-developed short-range guided missile family from Calidus for ground-to-ground and air-to-ground launches. Public sources describe a 140 mm missile with semi-active laser or imaging-infrared seekers, high-explosive or anti-armour warheads, and vehicle and aircraft integrations including Calidus MATV/LIFV displays and the B-250LA light-attack aircraft.
Public Calidus and Janes material describes ALHEDA as a four-variant family split by seeker and warhead rather than by separate public model names.
| Variant | Configuration | Designation notes |
|---|---|---|
| SAL high-explosive configuration | Laser-guided blast/fragmentation option | One of the four public seeker-and-warhead combinations, pairing semi-active laser terminal guidance with a high-explosive warhead. Sources: Calidus ALHEDA missile page, Janes ALHEDA production report |
| SAL anti-armour configuration | Laser-guided anti-armour option | Combines semi-active laser guidance with the anti-armour warhead option described in open technical reporting. Sources: Calidus ALHEDA missile page, Janes ALHEDA production report |
| IIR high-explosive configuration | Imaging-infrared high-explosive option | Uses the imaging-infrared seeker path with the high-explosive warhead option in the four-variant family. Sources: Calidus ALHEDA missile page, Janes ALHEDA production report |
| IIR anti-armour configuration | Imaging-infrared anti-armour option | Uses the imaging-infrared seeker path with the anti-armour warhead option in the four-variant family. Sources: Calidus ALHEDA missile page, Janes ALHEDA production report |
