Direct proof of use
Terrahawk Paladin appears in the 2014 Russia-Ukraine War record first as a formally announced British transfer and later as a documented Ukrainian Air Force system. On 11 October 2023, the UK Ministry of Defence said an International Fund for Ukraine air-defense package would include MSI-DS Terrahawk Paladin, described as a platform for tracking and destroying drones and protecting critical national infrastructure.
The deployment record became more specific in November 2025. Ukrainska Pravda reported that the 156th Anti-Aircraft Missile Regiment of Ukraine's Air Force had deployed UK-supplied Terrahawk Paladin systems, citing a regiment video highlighted by Jeff2146 and Militarnyi. Army Recognition separately described a 18 November 2025 regiment video showing the British-supplied Terrahawk Paladin mounted on a MAN HX 8x8 truck in Ukrainian Armed Forces service.

Timeline
The public transfer trail starts with the October 2023 IFU announcement. The UK said the package included more than 70 million pounds of air-defense capabilities for Ukraine, including Terrahawk Paladin, and said equipment from the air-defense and mobility packages would arrive in the following months.
The first widely reported Ukrainian unit appearance followed in November 2025. UNITED24 Media, citing Militarnyi, reported that Ukraine's Air Force had received British-made Terrahawk Paladin systems for the 156th anti-aircraft missile regiment. Ukrainska Pravda and Army Recognition then described the system shown on a MAN HX chassis, with the Ukrainian reports linking the footage to the 156th regiment.

Battlefield role
In Ukrainian service, Terrahawk Paladin is documented as a very short-range air-defense and counter-UAS point-protection system. The UK announcement tied the system to tracking and destroying drones and protecting critical infrastructure, while Ukrainian reporting described it as strengthening air defense at low and very low altitudes.
The deployment reporting identifies Ukraine as the operator and the 156th Anti-Aircraft Missile Regiment as the shown unit, but it does not publicly give the number of systems supplied. The clearest described configuration is a NATO-standard flatrack carried by a MAN HX 8x8 truck, with reporting on the Ukrainian video noting protective shielding around radar and sensor assemblies.

System context
MSI-Defence Systems describes Terrahawk VSHORAD as a modular, remote-controlled, redeployable system for close-range land, air, and maritime threats. The manufacturer lists vehicle-integrated, trailerized, and NATO-standard flatrack deployment options, along with offset remote control, electro-optical sensing, direct-fire effectors up to 40 mm, programmable and proximity ammunition options, and cue-and-slew and video-tracking functions.
Those features explain why the system fits Ukraine's layered short-range air-defense problem, but the conflict-use evidence is narrower: public sources directly document transfer to Ukraine and later Ukrainian Air Force fielding. They do not yet provide a confirmed public shootdown, engagement date, or complete inventory count for Terrahawk Paladin in Ukraine.
