In the Russia-Ukraine War, both sides use them in large numbers because they can put a live camera feed and operator-guided explosive payload into places that are hard for artillery or larger UAVs to reach, while reporting from Lebanon and Mali shows Hezbollah and northern Malian rebels using FPV or fiber-optic FPV drones for short-range strike missions against armored vehicles, troops, and military bases.
