MKE is Turkey's state-owned defense-industrial manufacturer for weapons, ammunition, explosives, pyrotechnics, and heavy ordnance, with official roots in the Turkish state arsenal system and modern legal continuity from the 1950 Makina ve Kimya Endustrisi Kurumu.
